The Ambani family attended the India vs USA match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Saturday. Mukesh and Nita Ambani were seen enjoying the high-profile clash alongside family members and close friends. They were accompanied by their elder son, Akash Ambani, and their grandchildren.

Former India captain Rohit Sharma briefly joined the Ambani family during the match. A video circulating online shows Mukesh Ambani warmly greeting Rohit as he arrived at their VIP box, with both Mukesh and Nita Ambani standing up to welcome him. At one point, Mukesh Ambani was also seen offering a cup of tea to Rohit, who politely declined.

US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, also met the Ambani family on the sidelines during the encounter between defending champions India and the United States. On the field, India registered a convincing 29-run victory over the USA in Match No. 3 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, played on February 7 at the Wankhede Stadium.

Batting first, India posted a competitive total of 161/9 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks largely to a captain’s knock from Suryakumar Yadav. Leading from the front, Suryakumar played a composed and impactful unbeaten innings of 84 off 49 balls, anchoring the innings after early setbacks. The USA bowlers put in a disciplined performance, with Shadley van Schalkwyk standing out by claiming four wickets for 25 runs.

In reply, the USA showed fighting spirit but fell short, finishing on 132/8 in their 20 overs. Sanjay Krishnamurthi and Shubham Ranjane were the top scorers for the USA with 37 runs each, but the required run rate proved too steep against India’s disciplined bowling attack. Mohammed Siraj led the Indian bowling effort with figures of 3/29 from his four-over spell.
