India captain Suryakumar Yadav was seen fuming angrily at teammate Kuldeep Yadav after the conclusion of the India versus Pakistan match on Sunday, February 15, at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Men in Blue won the match by 61 runs, but Suryakumar was not satisfied with the efforts made in the field by the left-arm spinner, who had dropped a catch on the boundary in the eighteenth over.

Shaheen Shah Afridi played an elevated pull shot on the second ball of the 18th over, bowled by Hardik Pandya, which reached the wide long-on region where Kuldeep was stationed. However, he not only failed to hold on to the catch, but the ball also went parrying over the boundary line for a maximum, costing India six runs.

While the win had become a formality for the Indian team by then, Suryakumar was not impressed with a simple chance that Kuldeep let go, displaying a paltry effort in the outfield. Not amused with Kuldeep’s dropped catch, the Indian skipper was seen scolding the Aligarh-born, as the match ended four balls later. A video of the incident has been doing the rounds on social media.
