In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Elite Group C match at the Gymkhana Ground in Hyderabad, Gujarat outplayed Baroda with an eight-wicket win in a dominant display. However, an unexpected heartwarming moment involving Hardik Pandya stole the spotlight in the domestic clash.
Pandya, representing Baroda, was batting on 10 when he attempted to finish the game with a big shot. Instead, he ended up finding the fielder in the deep, handing bowler Ravi Bishnoi his wicket. As Bishnoi celebrated with his arms in the air, Pandya, already in motion for a run, paused upon realising he was dismissed.
In a light-hearted and sporting gesture, the Mumbai Indians (MI) captain joined the celebration of his own wicket, giving Bishnoi a high five followed by a cheerful running hug before making his way off the field. The moment drew smiles from both sides and became one of the most memorable highlights of the match.
