Watch Shah Rukh Khan celebrates KKR's IPL victory with heartfelt kiss on Gautam Gambhir's forehead

Kolkata Knight Riders wrote history as the team defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the summit clash of the IPL 2024 to clinch their third IPL title. The side put in a magnificent performance in the final, registering an eight-wicket win and outclassing Pat Cummins’ men.

After the win, the franchise’s co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was seen celebrating with the side’s mentor Gautam Gambhir. In the clip that has been going viral all over social media, SRK can be seen celebrating with Gambhir, even giving him a kiss on his forehead.

It is worth noting that Gambhir was appointed as the side’s mentor before the start of the IPL 2024. Gambhir had been Lucknow Super Giants’ mentor in the IPL 2022 and 2023, led the side to the playoffs, and managed to win the title in his first season back with KKR.

KKR register swift win against SRH

Speaking of the IPL 2024 final, Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first after winning the toss and instantly found themselves in trouble as KKR’s bowling unit was too good on the crucial day. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head departed for two and zero runs, respectively.

With Aiden Markram and Pat Cummins being the highest run-getters, SRH managed to post a total of 113 runs in the first innings of the game. As for KKR, Andre Russell was the highest wicket-taker, with three wickets to his name.

Furthermore, as KKR stepped out to chase the total, the side lost Sunil Narine for just six runs. However, the innings of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer saw them win the game and clinch the title. Gurbaz scored 39 runs in 32 deliveries, with Iyer amassing 52* runs in 26 deliveries, as KKR chased the target and won the game by eight wickets to lift their third IPL title.
