The celebrations following India national cricket team’s triumph in the T20 World Cup 2026 produced several memorable moments, both on and off the field. Amid the celebratory scenes at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, a light-hearted exchange between Sanju Samson and Jasprit Bumrah relating to all-rounder Hardik Pandya caught the attention of fans on social media.

India sealed the title with a dominant 96-run victory over New Zealand in the final. The winning moment arrived when Tilak Varma completed a catch near the boundary ropes at long-on, triggering wild celebrations among the Indian players.

Following the historic win, the players soaked in the moment with dance moves, emotional hugs, interviews, and plenty of photographs. During one such moment, Pandya was posing for photographers when Samson and Bumrah were spotted having a laugh nearby.

In a clip that has since gone viral, the duo reportedly appeared to mimic or discuss Pandya’s well-known “lame pose” while watching him pose for the cameras. The duo can be seen laughing and trying to recreate the same move.

Hardik Pandya was followed by several photographers as they tried to capture him recreate his now iconic celebratory pose. He has been doing the exact same pose since India’s 2024 T20 World Cup win.

I want to win 10 more trophies: Hardik Pandya

Pandya was instrumental in his side’s World Cup victory, as he scored 217 runs with the bat, while also picking up nine wickets with the ball. After India’s victory, the right-hander was elated. He also gave away his thoughts after winning yet another ICC trophy for the country.

“It sounds very good that I am a senior player now. But I have 10 more years of cricket in me. I have played only half of my career so far, half is left. I would want to win 10 more trophies in total, ICC and IPL included. But ICC trophies are the most important for me. I would want to win anything that I play. In the next 10 years, I would definitely win five or six more,” Hardik said in an interview with the broadcasters.
