The rumours of India’s young batting sensation, Rinku Singh getting engaged to Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament (MP) Priya Saroj were all over the social media. Subsequently, the cricketer’s personal life generated immense attention before Priya’s father denied the news of any engagement while also adding that the talks are going on between both the families.

On the other hand, a video featuring Rinku is going viral on social media, where the southpaw is seen distributing money to the workers. Rinku who seems to be in the middle of a function, was handing over the amount to his helps who accepted the present with regards.

Rinku was retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2025. He became the top grossing player in the franchise as he was retained for a whopping 13 crore. This is a huge jump from what was his previous INR 55 lakh contract, and the southpaw would be itching to pay dividends for the defending champions.

Rinku opens up on missing out on T20 World Cup 2024

It is worth noting that, despite flying to West Indies and United States of America with the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2024, he missed out on a berth in Champions Trophy 2025. Rinku travelled to West Indies as travelling reserve but could not feature in the 15-member squad or playing XI for that matter. However, he revealed the message by India captain, Rohit Sharma after the snub, which the Men in Blue eventually won.

“He (Rohit Sharma) came to me and said that it is okay, I’m still young, and there are many more tournaments to come. There is a World Cup every two years, so I shouldn’t be disappointed by this but focus on my game instead,” said Rinku as quoted by News24.
