A video of a Pakistan supporter delivering a pointed rant at PCB officials spread widely on social media following the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 Group A match between India and Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium on September 5. The clip drew significant attention because of the absence of Pakistan fans visible in the background during one of international cricket’s most anticipated rivalries.

The fan directed his criticism at PCB chief selector Aaqib Javed and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, pointing to the absence of Pakistani supporters in the stadium. The video surfaced on X and showed the supporter gesturing toward the largely vacant sections of the ground while addressing both officials by name.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first but were bowled out for just 55 runs in 18.1 overs, their lowest-ever T20I total. India chased down the 56-run target in only 8.4 overs, with captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma guiding the side home. Pakistan suffered a seven-wicket defeat in the fixture.

The Fatima Sana-led Pakistan side came under heavy scrutiny for a batting collapse that produced one of their lowest totals against India. India had already secured their semi-final spot in Group A with dominant victories over Thailand and Hong Kong before this match and advanced as Group A winners. In the viral clip, the fan addressed the chairman of selectors, Aaqib Javed and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi directly.

“Mr. Aaqib Javed, the cricket match you are celebrating is a Pakistan vs India match. Look at the crowd. No Pakistani is watching you. All the fans are in one house. You have given up on cricket. You have destroyed cricket. No one is coming to watch. Mr. Mohsin Naqvi, if you have given up on cricket, please look at this. Look at this. There is no Pakistani here. In the name of God, take care of cricket. Don’t be cruel to cricket,” the fan said in the clip.

The supporter’s remarks pointed to the stands being filled almost entirely by Indian fans, with the Pakistani section appearing largely empty throughout the match at Dubai International Stadium.

Pakistan’s defeat in the Women’s Asia Cup came at a time when the men’s Test team in England was also facing pressure following heavy losses in the ongoing series, adding to the broader frustration among Pakistani cricket supporters across formats. Pakistan’s route to the knockout stage of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup depended on their remaining campaign results.
