Day 3 of the second Test between India and South Africa in Guwahati was dominated by the visitors, but ace pacer Mohammed Siraj provided a fun moment while fielding. A humorous incident between Siraj and the Spidercam quickly went viral.

South Africa began Day 3 on a strong note after posting 489 in their first innings. India, already under pressure in the series, collapsed to 201 in reply, handing the Proteas a 288-run lead. Marco Jansen’s impressive 6/48 gave the visitors the upper hand, while Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav’s fightback was the lone bright spot for the hosts.

By stumps, South Africa chose not to enforce the follow-on and extended their lead to 314, closing the day at 26/0. Amid India’s struggles, Siraj, who ended with figures of 2/106 in the first innings and delivered a three-over spell in the second, grabbed attention on the field.

Late in the final session, with South Africa starting their second innings, the Spidercam was seen hovering near Siraj during fielding. The pacer casually took off his hat and placed it over the camera lens, momentarily “blinding” the broadcast view. Despite the fun moment, Siraj was one of India’s better bowlers in the first innings, dismissing Tony de Zorzi and Senuran Muthusamy. In South Africa’s second innings, he conceded just eight runs in three overs.
