Mohammed Siraj shared a light-hearted moment with his Indian teammate and fellow fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah following the Gujarat Titans’ clash against the Mumbai Indians on April 20 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In a video uploaded on social media by the Mumbai Indians, Siraj playfully teased Bumrah using the viral dialogue from the film Dhurandhar – ‘Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi tujhe, Jassi?’ (Did you never think of your home, Jassi?) Bumrah then added a playful jibe, asking Siraj to get a haircut. The pair shared an embrace after further joyous banter with each other.
The pair share a close bond, having bowled in tandem for India on multiple occasions in all formats. Following the 2024 T20 World Cup final, where Bumrah produced a brilliant spell of 2/18, Siraj praised Bumrah, speaking after the match, saying, ‘I only believe in Jassi bhai [Bumrah], game changer player he is,’ a viral statement which was also referenced in the video.

Bumrah started his IPL 2026 campaign wicketless in five games, but dismissed Sai Sudharsan off the first ball of the Titans’ innings, breaking his slump. Being put into bat, Mumbai scored 199/5 in their 20 overs courtesy a masterful unbeaten century from Tilak Varma. The southpaw scored 82 runs in his last 23 balls in a brutish display of hitting in the back end, reaching the milestone off just 45 balls, in the last ball of the innings.
The Titans were never able to get their chase going as their big three of Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler fell in the powerplay. The Mumbai bowlers kept picking up key wickets as the Titans were bundled out for 100, handing the five-time champions a thumping 99-run win. Ashwani Kumar finished with figures of 4/24, including the big wicket of the in-form Gill.
This was the Mumbai Indians’ second victory of the season. They broke the 14-year streak of not having won their opening game when they beat the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium, but suffered four consecutive losses before their win in Ahmedabad.
