Ed Sheeran’s doppelganger arrived at the iconic Old Trafford in Manchester to watch the intense cricketing action on Day 5 of the fourth Test between India and England, with the prestigious Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at stake.

In a video which has gone viral on social media, spectators, especially Indian fans, can be requesting Sheeran’s lookalike for selfies, and the young man is happily obliging. Notably, Sheeran is a renowned figure in both India and the United Kingdom. The 34-year-old singer and songwriter and given several chartbuster songs, including Shape of You. He has a staggering following of 49.2 million on Instagram.

The official ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) handle of England posted the video with a sarcastic caption that read: “Always a pleasure to have @edsheeran with us at the cricket.”

Sheeran performed concerts in six cities in India, including Delhi, Pune, and Bengaluru, in January and February earlier this year. He collaborated with popular Indian artists like Armaan Malik and Diljit Dosanjh. Coming to the doppelganger, his eerie resemblance to Sheeran managed to confuse fans as well as the commentators.
