Match 29 of the IPL 2025 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) is currently underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. DC won the toss and opted to field first. MI batters came out with an aggressive intent, taking the attack to the DC bowlers right from the start.

In the 18th over, bowled by Mitchell Starc, Naman Dhir and Tilak Varma were at the crease. On the fourth delivery of the over, Dhir smashed a length ball towards long-off. DC skipper Axar Patel, stationed near the boundary, timed his jump perfectly and caught the ball mid-air.

However, as his momentum was carrying him over the ropes, Axar had to release the ball mid-air to avoid conceding a six. While the effort was commendable, the catch could not be completed. Despite many simpler chances being dropped in the tournament, this would have stood out as one of the best catches of the season had it been taken.

Meanwhile, Tilak Varma is in sublime form, scoring a well-constructed half-century and maintaining a high run rate for MI, punishing the DC bowlers with powerful strokes. Ryan Rickelton scored 41 off 25 balls and Suryakumar Yadav smashed 40 off 28 deliveries, whereas from the DC bowling department, Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets at an economy rate of 5.75 and Vipraj Nigam picked two wickets under his name too.

Currently ninth on the points table with just one win from five matches, MI are eager to return to winning ways. On the other hand, DC sit comfortably at the top with four consecutive wins and are determined to keep their momentum going.
