Virat Kohli might be one of the finest cricketers to have played the sport and certainly a role model for billions across the globe. However, his naysayers sometimes confuse his aggression on the field with brashness. Nevertheless, he is one of the most humble personalities off the field, and there are plenty of instances to back that opinion.

Recently, there was another one of those instances, as Kohli met his former India U19 teammate Taruwar Kohli and his daughter on the sidelines of a Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) training session. Taruwar, who was part of the Indian team that won the U19 World Cup under Kohli’s captaincy in 2008, posted a video on his Instagram handle of the interaction.

In the video, Taruwar mentioned that the former India captain graciously stepped out of the team bus to catch up with him and his daughter, who seemed like a young fan. Kohli told the little one, “Papa is also Kohli?” The trio also posed for a quick photograph.

“The world knows your records. I know your heart. Stay blessed, brother,” Taruwar, who was a part of the Punjab Kings and the Rajasthan Royals during his career, wrote in the caption.

“Fame changes people. It didn’t change Virat. Specially came out of team bus to meet us. Greatness never changed you. Stay blessed always, The GOAT,” Taruwar wrote in his video.

RCB look to make it two in two

RCB have reached the Indian Premier League (IPL) final for the second time in a row. After winning their maiden title last year, Rajat Patidar and Co. are one step away from becoming two-time champions. They reached the finals on Tuesday, May 26, with a comprehensive 92-run win against the Gujarat Titans in Dharamsala.

The Bengaluru-based franchise will face either the Gujarat Titans or the Rajasthan Royals in the summit clash on Sunday, May 31, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
