USA’s Milind Kumar stunned the fans in the clash against Pakistan at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo on Tuesday, February 10, as he took a fine catch to dismiss Babar Azam.
In the 12th match of the 2026 T20 World Cup, Babar was on the brink of a half-century after Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha were dismissed in the final over of the powerplay. The former Pakistan skipper tried to hit Mohammad Mohsin out of the park but couldn’t time the ball as well as he would have liked.
Milind, who was fielding at long-on, had to rush forward as the ball was dying on him. In the end, the 34-year-old USA all-rounder put in a dive to catch the ball inches above the ground. He rolled over to prevent his elbows from hitting the ground. The expertly judged effort on the field ended Babar’s knock as he made 46 off 32 balls, with the help of four fours and one six.
