Shashank Singh was once again in the middle of a fielding lapse, this time during the Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings’ clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, April 25. In the third over of the innings, KL Rahul offered a regulation chance to Shashank off Arshdeep Singh’s bowling after Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bowl first. However, the 34-year-old failed to cling on.
Rahul is too good a batter to miss out when he is given a reprieve, especially on a small ground and a belter of a track in Delhi. The 34-year-old slammed a 47-ball century, much to the joy of the home fans.
He brought up the milestone by hammering a straight drive down to the long-off boundary. The long-off fielder dived to his right, but it was too well timed for him to stop its path.
