Xavier Bartlett took a spectacular catch to dismiss Jos Buttler in match 4 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. Buttler, whose form has been a talking point since his dismal T20 World Cup campaign earlier in the year, looked to be slowly getting back to the dangerous version of him that the IPL is familiar with.
Batting on 38, Buttler stepped out against a flighted delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal, which pitched on leg stump. Looking to heave it over the long-on boundary, he failed to make proper contact but the ball still seemed like going over the ropes until Xavier Bartlett, stationed at long-on, leapt high up in the air and completed a spectacular catch over his head with his arms stretched out.
