Video of the Day: IPL 2026 – Vaibhav Sooryavanshi dismantles Josh Hazlewood in breathtaking display of power hitting

One of the most eye-catching moments from IPL 2026 came when young prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi took on the Aussie great Josh Hazlewood and came out on top in emphatic fashion during Rajasthan Royals’ clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 

The fearless batter turned the tide in RR’s fourth over, hammering Hazlewood for three consecutive boundaries before finishing it off with a towering six. It began with a late adjustment to guide the ball past third man, followed by a powerful stroke over mid-on.

He then showcased his class with a sublime cover drive, completing a hat-trick of fours and leaving the bowler under pressure. Trying to respond, Hazlewood went short on the final ball, but Sooryavanshi was quick to react, pulling it over deep square leg for a maximum to make it a 19-run over. 

For a rising sensation to dominate a bowler of such pedigree so convincingly, it was a moment that truly stood out.
