Marco Jansen made a very difficult catch look like a walk in the park and ended Ishan Kishan’s promising innings in the Punjab Kings’ clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Saturday, April 11.
After Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head amassed a 120-run partnership in eight overs, Shashank Singh dismissed them in the space of three balls. However, Ishan Kishan continued the momentum set by the opening pair as he smashed 27 off 17 balls.
The Hyderabad skipper’s innings, however, ended against the run of play when he whipped one off his stumps against Arshdeep Singh’s bowling in the 14th over to the right of mid-wicket. Marco Jansen took a few steps to his right and put his right arm out to take the catch nonchalantly. He had a wry smile on his face after completing the catch, while the fans were left awe-struck.
