Bangladesh pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib produced a memorable moment in Match No. 3 of the Asia Cup 2025 against Hong Kong at the Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi on September 11. After being hit for a six by Babar Hayat earlier in the over, Sakib struck back immediately to dismiss the right-hander in stunning fashion.
Bangladesh skipper Litton Das had opted to field first after winning the toss, and Taskin Ahmed provided the initial breakthrough. Sakib, coming in for his second over, faced pressure when Hayat lofted him for a maximum over long-on off the third ball. However, the very next delivery turned the contest on its head.
Pitching around middle stump, the ball swung away late, deceiving Hayat as he advanced down the track. Attempting to work it to the leg side, he missed completely, and the ball crashed into middle and off. Sakib celebrated passionately to Hayat’s face as he walked back disappointed.
