Nizakat Khandispatched a flighted Wanindu Hasaranga delivery over the fence for a stunning maximum during Match 8 of Asia Cup 2025 between Sri Lanka and Hong Kong at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday, September 15. It was one of the two sixes hit by Hong Kong in their innings. The 33-year-old had not got to the pitch of the delivery but used his long reach to clobber it into the stands.

In the very next over, Anshuman Rath joined the party with an exquisite shot off Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka. Asalanka fired the ball in to middle stump coming from around-the-wicket. Anshuman made room for himself and lofted the ball over the extra-cover region with effortless grace as Asalanka’s over went for 12 runs.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong ended with 149/4 at the end of their innings. Nizakat stayed unbeaten with a 38-ball 52. His innings comprised four fours and two sixes. Anshuman was dismissed just two short of his half-century. Maheesh Theekshana (0/22 in four overs) ended up as the most economical bowler for Sri Lank while Dushmantha Chameera picked up a couple of wickets.
