USA fast bowler Jasdeep Singh opened up about his cricketing journey, cultural roots, and aspirations of playing in the Indian Premier League. The pacer spoke candidly about representing an associate nation on the global stage and how opportunities in elite tournaments could play a defining role in the growth of players from emerging cricketing nations, in an exclusive interaction with CricTracker.

Jasdeep Singh has steadily established himself as one of USA cricket’s most reliable pace options in recent years. Known for his discipline, control, and ability to deliver in pressure situations, the fast bowler has been part of a growing wave of associate-nation players seeking consistent exposure against top-tier opposition. As USA cricket continues to gain momentum, Jasdeep’s performances have placed him firmly among the names to watch.

Jasdeep has featured in 31 T20Is, claiming 32 wickets at an economy rate of 8.64. In the previous T20 World Cup co-hosted by the USA and West Indies, the pacer featured in four matches and claimed the prized wicket of Babar Azam during the memorable USA–Pakistan clash.

The USA have been placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and Namibia. They will start their World Cup campaign against India on February 7 at the Wankhede Stadium.

Jasdeep Singh CricTracker Exclusive Interview — Excerpt

If you get a chance to play in the IPL, which team do you think suits your style the most and why?

I would be thankful for an opportunity with any IPL team because the competition itself is at another level. That said, my roots are strongly connected to Punjab. My parents are from there, and even though I was born in the United States, that cultural bond has always stayed with me. Because of that connection, I feel Punjab Kings would suit me well.
