U19 Asia Cup 2025: India announce 15-man squad, Ayush Mhatre to lead

The Junior Cricket Committee has picked the India U19 squad for the upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup, to take place in Dubai from 12th December. Young opening batter Ayush Mhatre has been picked as the captain of the side, whereas, Vihaan Malhotra will be acting as his deputy for the eight-team tournament. Meanwhile, star inclusions like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Vedant Trivedi have also headlined the squad.

The primary role of a wicketkeeper will be played by Abhigyan Kundu. To keep a backup wicketkeeping option, Harvansh Singh has also been picked. Other notable names from the squad include Khilan Patel, Naman Pushpak, and Henil Patel. Apart from the 15-member squad, the selectors have also included four players as cover.

Note: Kishan Kumar Singh’s participation in the continental tournament is subject to fitness clearance. The selection committee has also picked Rahul Kumar, Hemchudeshan J, B.K. Kishore, Aditya Rawat as the four standby players in their original squad.

Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Qualifier 2

ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 Schedule

India will be kickstarting their campaign on Friday, December 12 at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, followed by the high-octane clash against Pakistan at the same venue a couple of days later. Their third and final group stage encounter will be played on Tuesday at The Seven’s facility. Meanwhile, both the semi-finals will be played on Friday, December 19, with the summit clash set to be played on Sunday, December 21.
