At number five is New Zealand’s dashing opener Finn Allen. The right-hander had a stellar season with the bat, helping the Kiwi side reach the final of the T20 World Cup 2026 against India. He was one of the most fierce batters in the competition and formed a deadly combo with Tim Seifert at the top.

In 8 innings in the 2026 edition of the T20 World Cup, the new Kolkata Knight Riders recruit scored 298 runs at an average of 49.66 and with a stunning strike rate of 200. His knock of 33-ball 100 against South Africa in the semifinals will be remembered forever.

At the fourth position is India’s number 3, Ishan Kishan. The wicketkeeper-batter had a stellar comeback into the Indian team, after he was included in the T20 World Cup squad after being absent from team India’s T20I set-up for nearly two years.

He started the campaign as opener and then was shifted to the number 3 position to accommodate Sanju Samson. But it did not stop him from making an impact for his team. In nine innings, the left-hander scored 317 runs with the bat, at a mammoth strike rate of 193.29, which shows his impact.

What made his campaign historic were not the stats, but the impact his knocks had on the outcome of the event. He single-handedly carried India’s batting in their last three must-win encounters against the West Indies, England, and New Zealand, respectively. After being left out of the playing XI, his comeback was one for the ages.
