The Canada Super60 is set to return for its second season, with the tournament scheduled to be held at BC Place, Vancouver, from September 29 to October 4, 2026. The six participating franchises finalized their squads during the 2026 Canada Super60 Player Draft on July 21, adding several established T20 stars and promising Associate cricketers to their rosters.

Ahead of the draft, franchises were allowed to retain players and complete pre-draft signings. Several marquee names, including Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Sam Billings, and Jonny Bairstow, were secured before the draft itself. During the player selection process, each team was permitted to pick one marquee player, two wildcards, four international players, five Canadian players, and three cricketers from Associate nations.

Brampton Blitz strengthened their pace attack by signing Tom Curran as an international player for $35,000. The England all-rounder brings a wealth of experience, having claimed 280 wickets in 276 T20 matches. Although his performances in the recently concluded Vitality Blast 2026 were modest, Curran remains a proven performer in franchise cricket with his ability to contribute with both the ball and the bat. His experience in pressure situations makes him one of the most valuable additions to the tournament.

One of the standout acquisitions of the draft was David Willey, who joined the Montreal Royal Tigers for $35,000. The left-arm seam-bowling all-rounder enjoyed a sensational Vitality Blast 2026, playing a pivotal role in Northamptonshire’s title-winning campaign. Willey finished the season with 400 runs and 14 wickets, underlining his all-round value. Across his T20 career, he has amassed 5,240 runs and picked up 385 wickets, making him one of the most complete T20 all-rounders in world cricket.

Among the Associate player selections, Asa Tribe was one of the most eye-catching picks. Brampton Blitz secured the talented batter for $8,000, adding an exciting young prospect to their squad. Tribe has already scored 1,266 runs in T20 cricket and has impressed with his aggressive batting style. His ability to score quickly at the top of the order could make him one of the breakout stars of the competition.

Andries Gous

Toronto Sixers made a smart move by signing Andries Gous under the Associate category for $8,000. The wicketkeeper-batter has been in outstanding form, particularly in the 2026 Major League Cricket season, where he accumulated 547 runs in just 13 matches. Overall, Gous has scored 3,539 runs in T20 cricket and has established himself as one of the most consistent top-order batters in franchise leagues. His recent form makes him one of the most exciting additions to the tournament.

Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim was another notable signing, joining Toronto Sixers as an international player for $20,000. Renowned for his economical left-arm spin and finishing ability with the bat, Imad brings immense experience to the squad. He has scored 4,462 runs and claimed 397 wickets in T20 cricket, making him one of the most accomplished all-rounders in the format. His leadership qualities and versatility could prove invaluable as Toronto Sixers chase the Canada Super60 title.
