3. Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka)

Legendary Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu has hit 109 sixes across 167 Women’s T20I matches, placing her third on the all-time list. Her career runs to 4,094 across 164 innings at an average of 26.69, with 4 centuries and 14 fifties, which puts her fourth on the all-time Women’s T20I run-scorers list. Her T20I career stretches from 2009 to 2026, and she has earned 21 Player of the Match awards in that time.

Athapaththu has captained Sri Lanka across much of that period and remains one of the most prominent figures in Asian women’s cricket. Her ability to score at a high rate while also accumulating runs in volume makes her six-hitting record all the more significant.

2. Deandra Dottin (West Indies)

West Indian hard-hitting batter Deandra Dottin is tied with Sophie Devine at the top of the all-time Women’s T20I six-hitting charts with 134 sixes. She holds the record for the most sixes in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup history, having struck 32 across her tournament career. Her best World Cup innings was 112 not out against South Africa in 2010, an innings that contained nine sixes.

That same innings came off 38 balls and was the first women’s T20 century on record. Dottin also leads all formats in the women’s game for ODI sixes, with 91 to her name. Her ability to hit the ball over the boundary has been a defining feature of her career across all formats, and her World Cup six-hitting record remains unmatched.

1. Sophie Devine (New Zealand)

Sophie Devine is tied with Deandra Dottin on 134 sixes in Women’s T20I cricket, sharing the record. Her T20I career ran from 2006 to 2026, during which she scored 3,817 runs across 154 innings at an average of 28.69, including 1 century and 24 fifties. Devine captained New Zealand to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title in 2024, becoming the oldest captain to lift the trophy.

The 2024 final was also her last match as New Zealand captain, having already announced her decision to step down from the role. Away from T20Is, Devine set the record for the fastest century in women’s T20 cricket, reaching three figures off 36 balls in New Zealand’s Super Smash competition in January 2021, surpassing Dottin’s previous mark of 38 balls.
