The World Championship of Legends 2026 completed its third edition with matches held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the UAE. The league stage ran from October 3 to October 14, before the knockout rounds decided the champion.

West Indies Champions defeated England Champions by nine wickets in the final. England posted 159/7 in 20 overs, and West Indies chased the target in 17 overs, losing only one wicket. Lendl Simmons top-scored in the final with an unbeaten 77 off 53 balls, while Moeen Ali was England’s highest scorer with 60 off 39 balls.

3. AB de Villiers (South Africa Champions)

AB de Villiers finished third on the overall run-scoring list in WCL 2026, accumulating 262 runs across five matches at an average of 65.50 and a strike rate of 209.60. The South Africa Champions batter was the standout performer of the league stage, recording the only century of the tournament when he struck 111 runs off just 40 balls against Australia Champions. That innings remains the highest individual score in WCL 2026.

Over the course of the tournament, De Villiers hit 22 sixes and 16 fours, underlining his aggressive approach at the crease. In the semi-final against England, he scored 25 runs before being dismissed by Tymal Mills, with Faf du Plessis also falling to Mills for 25 in quick succession, putting South Africa under pressure.

2. Moeen Ali (England Champions)

Moeen Ali finished second on the run-scoring charts with 302 runs in five innings, averaging 75.50 at a strike rate of 169.66. The England Champions captain was his side’s leading batter throughout the tournament, contributing 25 sixes and 15 fours across his innings.

In the semi-final, England posted 189/8 in 20 overs with Moeen Ali and Owais Shah among the key contributors. He carried that form into the final, scoring 60 off 39 balls, including four fours and four sixes, though England ultimately fell short. Moeen’s consistent performances across the tournament made him the standout batter for England Champions in WCL 2026.

1. Chadwick Walton (West Indies Champions)

Chadwick Walton topped the run-scoring charts in WCL 2026 with 342 runs in seven matches, averaging 85.50 at a strike rate of 167.65. The West Indies Champions opener was the most prolific batter of the entire tournament, hitting 28 sixes and 20 fours across his innings. His most decisive knock came in the semi-final against Australia Champions, where he blasted an unbeaten 87 off 42 balls to secure a five-wicket win for his side. Walton’s consistency throughout the league stage and knockouts made him the clear top run-getter of WCL 2026, finishing well clear of the field. West Indies Champions went on to lift the title, completing a dominant campaign.
