The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 will be remembered as a season dominated by batters, even as Vidarbha finally clinched their maiden title. The tournament saw several standout batting performances, with Vidarbha opener Aman Mokhade finishing as the highest run-scorer of the season with 814 runs.
Although Mokhade fell short of a big score in the final, the man of the moment was Atharva Taide, who hit 128 in the title clash against Saurashtra. His knock anchored Vidarbha’s total of 317. The final itself displayed how crucial runs at the top were, even as Vidarbha’s bowlers later sealed a 38-run victory.
Here are Top 3 players with most runs in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26
3. Harvik Desai

Saurashtra skipper Harvik Desai finished third on the list of highest run-scorers and played an important role in the team’s runner-up finish. Leading from the front as captain, Desai hammered 581 runs in 10 matches at an average of 64.55 and a strike rate of over 91.
Desai’s tournament featured three centuries and as many half-centuries, including match-winning knocks of 110, 101, and an unbeaten 100. He was particularly influential in the knockout stages, scoring an unbeaten hundred against Uttar Pradesh in a rain-affected quarterfinal to guide Saurashtra into the semifinals. In the finals against Vidarbha, he managed to add just 20 runs during their chase of 318.
2. Devdutt Padikkal

Karnataka opener Devdutt Padikkal enjoyed a prolific 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign, ending as one of the best batters of the tournament despite his team falling short of the final. The left-hander finished as the second-highest run-scorer overall, scoring 725 runs in nine innings at an average of 90.62 and a strike rate of 98.23.
Padikkal’s run featured four centuries and two fifties. He smashed back-to-back hundreds against Jharkhand (147), Kerala (124), Puducherry (113), and Tripura (108). He was also part of a record-heavy season, becoming the fastest batter in men’s List A cricket to reach 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 centuries. While Padikkal topped the run charts for most of the tournament, he eventually slipped to second as Karnataka’s campaign ended in the semi-finals.
1. Aman Mokhade

Aman Mokhade’s Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 campaign ended on a high note, as the Vidarbha opener finished as both the Player of the Series and the tournament’s highest run-getter, playing a crucial role in his team lifting the title. Mokhade smashed 814 runs in 10 innings at an average of 90.44 and a strike rate of 109.26.
He began with a century against Bengal and followed it up with knocks of 82, 139, and an unbeaten 150 against Baroda. His hundreds against Uttar Pradesh (147) and Karnataka (138) in the semi-final guided the team to the summit clash. Meanwhile, in the finals against Saurashtra, he added just 33 runs. Along the way, Mokhade equalled the record for most centuries in a single Vijay Hazare season (five) and became the fastest Indian to 1,000 List A runs, achieving the feat in just 16 innings.
