Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and cricketer Ramiz Raza recently came forward and lambasted the coverage of the ongoing three-game T20I series between Ireland and Pakistan. Ramiz Raja compared the coverage of the T20I series with that of a club-level game.

Both Ireland and Pakistan have kicked off their preparations for the T20 World Cup with the three-game series, where the hosts stunned Pakistan in the first T20I, winning the game in the dying moments, registering a huge upset for the side.

Speaking of the coverage, Ramiz Raja came forward and opined that Pakistan cricket is being wronged due to such coverage. He revealed how there is no DRS, no replay, and only a couple of cameras, and how there is no enjoyment in watching good shots being played.

“One thing I want to point out is the coverage, which has been quite poor. These matches are appearing as some club matches. There are only a couple of cameras, no DRS, no replays, lack of clarity in boundaries, there is no real enjoyment in watching shot or a good ball. This is hurting our brand,” Ramiz Raja said in a video on his YouTube channel.

Pakistan level series with significant improvement in second T20I

Speaking of the series between Ireland and Pakistan, after the hosts managed to topple Pakistan in the first T20I, the Babar Azam-led side put in work and heavily improved in the second clash. Both sides locked horns at Castle Avenue in Dublin for the second T20I on Sunday, May 12.

The clash began with Ireland coming into bat first after losing the toss, Lorcan Tucker’s knock of 51 runs and Harry Tector’s 32 runs on the board saw Ireland post a total of 193 runs on the board in the first innings.

Aiming to chase down the target, it was the knocks of Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman that saw Pakistan level the series. Rizwan scored 75* runs, and Fakhar played a knock of 78 runs in 40 deliveries as Pakistan won the game by seven wickets.
