In an exclusive interaction with CricTracker, United States of America pacer Jasdeep Singh opened up about his dream wickets ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, naming Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and opener Abhishek Sharma as the two batters he would love to dismiss on the big stage.

Suryakumar’s recent form in the recently concluded series against New Zealand will show his impact in the shorter-format. The Indian skipper scored at a strike rate close to 200. Overall, Suryakumar has amassed 3030 runs in 104 T20I matches, including four centuries and 24 half-centuries. The upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup will mark his first assignment as India’s full-time captain in a bigger event.

The USA pacer also identified Abhishek as another key wicket, citing the left-hander’s aggressive approach at the top of the order. Abhishek has scored 1297 runs in 38 T20I matches, registering two centuries and eight fifties, while maintaining a strike rate close to 200. The 25-year-old is known for providing explosive starts and can put opposition bowlers under pressure from the very first over.

Jasdeep admitted that dismissing either of the two would put his team in a much stronger position. He added that both players have the ability to change the course of a T20 game and are among the most dangerous batters in world cricket at present.

Excerpt from the interview

Who is your dream wicket that you want to take in the T20 World Cup 2026?

I’ve got my eyes on two wickets. One is obviously Suryakumar Yadav, and the other is Abhishek Sharma. The reason is that if you get those wickets, you put your team in a much better position to compete against them. So yeah, getting those two out would have a big impact in a T20 game. They’re clearly among the top players going around in T20 cricket right now.
