Sri Lanka to host an all-format international series against Bangladesh

Though there are some big series coming up, there has been a reduction in all-format bilateral series, where teams usually face each other in all three formats of the game. However, it has been announced that Sri Lanka will be hosting an all-format series against Bangladesh, which will include Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, starting from June. The series will feature two Test matches, three One Day Internationals, and three T20Is, beginning on 17 June and concluding on 17 July this season.

The series will begin with the Test matches, with the first game taking place at Galle International Stadium from 17–21 June. The second Test will be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo from 25–29 June and will also be part of the World Test Championship cycle.

The ODI series will be held from 2 July to 8 July, with the first two games played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, and the final match hosted at the Pallekele International Stadium. The T20I series will run from 10 July to 16 July, with matches scheduled in Pallekele, Colombo, and Dambulla.

Notably, the Sri Lankan team last played a Test series against Australia, while Bangladesh will arrive on the back of a 1–1 drawn series against Zimbabwe.
