Punjab Kings’ standout performer in the 2024 Indian Premier League, Shashank Singh, recently revealed his all-time IPL XI in an exclusive conversation with CricTracker. The 33-year-old batter, who saw a push in his career after his solid batting performance last season, named an all-Indian team led by the legendary MS Dhoni, with Rohit Sharma as vice-captain. Interestingly, Shashank did not include any overseas players in his team and even left out his current Punjab Kings’ skipper, Shreyas Iyer, from the line-up.
Notably, he has had stints with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad before joining the Punjab-based team. His unbeaten 29-ball 61 against the Gujarat Titans and a 28-ball 68 against the Kolkata Knight Riders drew immense praise. In the 2025 season, he scored 350 runs in 14 innings, including an unbeaten 61 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the finals.

What would your All-time IPL XI be?
Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma (vc), Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya, Shashank Singh, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Sandeep Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal (Impact Player: Piyush Chawla).
This is the Indian Premier League, and I want a team full of Indian stars – players who can defeat any team, in any part of the world, on any given day. I feel this team deserves a chance to play together at least once. Mahi Bhai should lead the team, with Rohit Bhai as the vice-captain.
