Sanju Samson posted an adorable selfie with his wife ahead of the highly-anticipated Rajasthan Royals (RR) versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clash in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

The Kerala cricketer tied the knot with Charulatha Remesh in December 2018. On Thursday, April 4, Samson posted a selfie with his better half on his official Instagram account. “With My Pondati  [wife],” the wicketkeeper-batter wrote in the caption of his post.

Samson has been leading Rajasthan Royals since the 2021 edition of the IPL. Under his leadership, the first-ever IPL champions finished runners-up in 2022. Last year, the Royals agonisingly finished outside the top. However, they have had a fantastic start to the season in IPL 2024.

Rajasthan started their campaign against Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. They defeated the KL Rahul-led side by 20 runs. In their second game in Jaipur, they got the better of Delhi Capitals by 12 runs. Rajasthan’s most recent win came against Mumbai Indians in what was their first away fixture of the season. The Royals are set to return to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in a bid to reclaim the pole position on the points table.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan’s next opponent, RCB, have had a dismal start to their IPL 2024 campaign. Faf du Plessis and Co. have already played four matches and won only once against Punjab Kings. They suffered three losses against Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants. RCB are languishing at No. 8 on the points table and would have to get their act together quickly as the games are coming thick and fast.

While Rajasthan will be playing at home, Bengaluru are one of the most popular sides in the league and receive commendable support wherever they play. It will be intriguing to see which team comes out on top on Saturday, April 6.
