In a dazzling spectacle at the grand Ram Temple’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya, cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar was spotted mingling with South Indian superstar Rajinikanth on Monday. The Little Master and the iconic ‘Thalaiva’ joined a star-studded list of celebrities and dignitaries who graced the event with their presence. The ceremony, which marked the consecration of the Ram Mandir, was nothing short of grandeur, as it attracted luminaries from diverse fields.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself led the rituals, that added to the significance of the occasion. Tendulkar proudly attended the Pran Pratishtha ceremony and captured the essence of the event in a shared picture with Rajnikanth. The synergy of cricketing brilliance and cinematic charisma added a unique flair to this historic gathering in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on January 22.

“Happy to be at the new Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Its astounding architecture is set to impress anyone who pays a visit. Glad to have received Shri Ram’s blessings,” Tendulkar wrote on ‘X’.

Notable figures from Indian cricket, including Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Ravichandran Ashwin, received invites for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Due to being part of the Indian squad gearing up for the first Test against England in Hyderabad from January 25, Kohli was unable to attend the ceremony. The star batter’s commitment to the upcoming series was believed to be the reason behind his absence from the prestigious event.

MS Dhoni gives grand spectacle a miss

Former India captain MS Dhoni chose not to attend the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. While he is usually present at Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations, it’s noteworthy that neither Dhoni, Virat Kohli nor Ashwin participated in the Ram Temple opening ceremony, attracting attention from fans, especially those in Tamil Nadu.
