Rishabh Pant edges closer to national comeback, shares inspirational video

Star India wicketkeeper batter has been making rapid progress in his recovery ever since his horrific car crash on December 30, 2022. Pant is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and keeps on sharing his training videos with fans every now and then

The 26-year-old recently shared another transformation clip from his inspiring journey showing his progress from walking with the help of a ‘walker’ to running without any difficulty. Along with the video, Pant also wrote inspirational words stating that one should never give up amid hardships and keep fighting.

“Seems like you forgot. Let me remind you… Remember when it was hard and it was overwhelming and you felt afraid and still walked alone? You didn’t have the answers then and couldn’t see the way and wanted to give up? You still kept going. Never forget that,” wrote Pant in the caption.

Notably, the 26-year-old last played for India in December 2022 during the second Test against Bangladesh in Mirpur. Pant’s services have been badly missed by the side especially in Tests as no other player has been able to recreate his impact on the game.

Pant eyeing T20 World Cup 2024?

His aggressive brand of cricket is badly missed by the side on turning tracks to unsettle the spinners. During his time away from the game, the wicketkeeper batter has missed two major ICC events namely the World Test Championship 2023 final and ODI World Cup 2023. With the T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled to begin on June 01 in the West Indies and the USA, Pant will be eager to gain match fitness and represent his nation in the T20 extravaganza.

However, before that, he will be playing for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2024 and will also be leading his team. Pant’s fans are desperately waiting for the swashbuckling batter to make his return to the cricket pitch and entertain them with his humongous sixes and stump-mic chatter.
