Reports: Chennai Super Kings to sell IPL 2024 match tickets online for fans’ convenience

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is just around the corner, and fans across the country are preparing themselves for another exciting season. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to take on their arch-rivals Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening game on March 22, at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. There was a lot of debate in the last season regarding the fair availability of tickets.

Moreover, fans were expected to collect their booked tickets from physical counters. Consequently, this had an adverse effect on the fans who were looking for tickets via offline modes, leading to long queues. This resulted in tickets being sold out before many fans could secure their seats.

However, this time around, to ensure a smooth ticketing process and avoid long queues. There are reports as per Indian Express that there will be a change in the ticketing system for IPL 2024. Chennai Super Kings are likely to sell their match tickets by partnering through third party ticket providers.

Seamless experience in booking IPL tickets

The move by the Chennai-based franchise will provide a better experience for fans, as they are partnering with Paytm Insider to implement an online ticketing system for IPL 2024. This will effectively eliminate the need for physical queues and ensure a fair and convenient process for fans to secure their tickets.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the first half of the IPL due to the upcoming Lok Sabha general elections. With the matches set to commence soon, fans can expect a seamless ticketing experience by booking their seats online through the official IPL website or authorized ticketing platforms like Paytm Insider.

During the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, BCCI partnered with Book My Show to provide fans with an easy process to get tickets for their desired match. With the hype and amount of crowd coming in for the IPL matches, BCCI and IPL management will be looking to do something similar.
