RCB in need of a win against SRH after losing five games in IPL 2024

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are eager to secure a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad to stay in playoff contention. Having lost five out of their six matches so far in the IPL 2024, RCB are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table while SRH, having won three out of their five matches, occupy the fourth spot.

When it comes to the southern rivals’ head-to-head record, RCB have triumphed in ten matches while SRH have claimed victory on 12 occasions, with one match ending without a result. RCB’s highest total against SRH stands at 227, while Hyderabad’s highest score against Bengaluru is 231. In addition, RCB have emerged victorious in three out of their last five matches against the 2016 champions. In their last encounter in the IPL 2023, former captain Virat Kohli’s stunning 63-ball century helped RCB to an emphatic eight-wicket victory against SRH.

While SRH showcase a wealth of talent in both batting and bowling departments, RCB rely heavily on the performance of Kohli, who currently leads the Orange Cap race. Additionally, the experienced wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has emerged as a pivotal figure for the three-time finalists in the ongoing tournament. In addition, for RCB to secure victories, the remaining batters and the bowlers need to elevate their performances significantly.
