Punjab Kings (PBKS) had a phenomenal campaign last year in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, they couldn’t bag their maiden title, losing a pulsating final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by just six runs.

Shreyas Iyer led Punjab brilliantly last season and would want to take his team to the distance in IPL 2026. With just over two weeks left for the new season’s commencement, the Punjab Kings unveiled their new kit, where gold has been replaced by blue.

The colour red has always been associated with PBKS. While they have retained red in their new threads, the touch of blue has given it an elegant look. The franchise unveiled the jersey through a post on social media, with Shreyas donning it. Later, they posted pictures of Harpreet Brar, Shashank Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, and others wearing the jersey.

Check out the jersey below:

PBKS have mostly retained their core players and made some key additions during the auction. If they start well in the campaign, there is no reason why they can’t make it to the playoffs at least.

On Wednesday, March 11, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for the first 20 days of the IPL. The entire schedule wasn’t announced due to the assembly elections set to take place in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam.

Punjab Kings will start their campaign in IPL 2026 with a clash against the 2022 champions, the Gujarat Titans. This match will be held on Tuesday, March 31, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.

The first match of the cash-rich league is between defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, March 28.
