Sri Lanka Cricket has announced the ODI and T20I squads which will tour Pakistan for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Pakistan and the following T20I tri-series, which will involve Zimbabwe as well. Matheesha Pathirana has not made it to the 20-over squad owing to an upper respiratory tract infection. Asitha Fernando has been called up in place of Pathirana.
Asitha last played a T20I in October 2024. The Lankans have made four other changes to the T20I squad, which suffered a group-stage exit at the 2025 Asia Cup. Nuwanidu Fernando, Dunith Wellalage, Chamika Karunaratne and Binura Fernando will be replaced by Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Janith Liyanage, Dushan Hemantha and Eshan Malinga, respectively.
