Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq were involved in a war of words during an Indian Premier League encounter between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. Since that game, Kohli’s fans have been going after the Afghanistan pacer on social media and also on the field, expressing their anger.
However, things changed drastically during India’s ODI World Cup 2023 encounter against Afghanistan in Kohli’s hometown, Delhi, on Wednesday. The crowd was seen chanting ‘Kohli’ when Naveen came out to bat or bowl. In the second innings, when Virat was at the crease, he asked the crowd to not jeer Naveen. The two players went on to shake hands. After the match, the two were also seen sharing a light moment.
