MS Dhoni has not travelled with the Chennai Super Kings’ squad to Lucknow and is subsequently out of contention for their IPL 2026 match against the Lucknow Super Giants on May 15 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium. The latest development has ruled out the possibility that Dhoni was reported to be travelling with the teammates for CSK’s next match against the Lucknow Super Giants.
Dhoni, who is at the end stage of his IPL career, has missed the ongoing season after a calf strain. He had recovered from the injury sustained ahead of the start of the season, but shortly after resuming practice, he once again jerked the calf muscle, worsening his case for return to the field for cricketing action. After the LSG game, CSK only have a couple of games remaining in their league stage campaign.
