MS Dhoni’s memorable performance against RR was in the 12th match of the 2019 edition. Playing at the Chepauk Stadium, CSK were asked to bat first and had a horror start to their innings. The hosts were reduced to 27/3 before the fifth over. However, a 50+ partnership between Dhoni and Suresh Raina brought CSK back into the game.

Batting at No.5, the former CSK captain led the charge by scoring an unbeaten 57 in just 46 balls with four fours and as many as sixes. They managed to put up a competitive total of 175 and RR, in reply, were restricted to 167/8. CSK won by eight runs and MSD was adjudged Player of the Match.

Avesh Khan: Avesh Khan is in fine form and is Sanju Samson’s reliable bowler in the final overs. He has dismissed Dhoni twice in the IPL by conceding 34 runs in 22 balls. The right-arm pacer will be aiming to silence the Chepauk crowd with yet another wicket of CSK legend.
