MS Dhoni Awards List: Complete Career Achievements & Honors

MS Dhoni is among the most inspirational personalities in the sports fraternity. His achievements speak volumes about his contribution to Indian cricket. He is the most successful Indian captain when it comes to ICC events. Under his leadership, the Men in Blue won the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011, and the Champions Trophy in 2013.

Apart from being a safe wicketkeeper, Dhoni also had brilliant numbers as a batter, especially in ODI cricket. The 44-year-old played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is during his illustrious career. He aggregated 17,266 runs across the three formats. In the ODI format, he finished with a staggering average of 50.58.

Dhoni has also been a legendary figure when it comes to his performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Not only has he guided Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five IPL titles, but he has also mentored many youngsters who have gone on to represent India in international cricket.

Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020, but he continues to play in the IPL. During this year’s IPL, Dhoni was 43 years old, but he did not show too many signs of slowing down.
