MI Squad 2024 Player List: Complete Mumbai Indians (MI) Squad and Players List for WPL 2024

The defending champions of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Mumbai Indians (MI) further reinforced their squad ahead of the next season. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side went into the auction with 13 players in their team and added another five players to bolster their squad as they prepare themselves to defend their crown in WPL 2024.

One of the most valuable additions to the MI squad is South African fast bowler Shabnim Ismail whom they bought for INR 1.2 Crore after an intense bidding war with Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Giants (GG). Notably, Ismail brings with her experience of 113 T20Is and she’s also the fourth-highest wicket-taker in Women’s T20Is history. The 35-year-old has 123 wickets to her name from 112 innings at an average of 18.62 and an economy of 5.77.

Apart from Ismail, MI also bought all rounders S. Sajana, Amandeep Kaur and Keerthana Balakrishnan and talented India bowler Fatima Jaffer to complete their squad. Having built a strong squad for the upcoming season, MI will look to start their campaign strong this time around as well to defend their title. They will once again rely on the top performers from the last season who helped them to win the title.

Nat Sciver-Brunt (332 runs), Harmanpreet Kaur (281 runs), Hayley Matthews (271 runs) were the top performers with the bat for MI in the first edition. On the other hand, Hayley Matthews (16 Wickets), Issy Wong (15 wickets), Amelia Kerr (15 wickets), Saika Ishaque and Nat Sciver-Brunt (10) shone with the ball and were in the top ten wicket takers of the tournament.
