Liam Livingstone is one of the most destructive batters in world cricket. He played some fantastic knocks during his time at Punjab Kings (PBKS). However, his stints for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have not been as productive.

Livingstone joined RCB for INR 8.75 crore at the IPL 2025 mega-auction. He was expected to light up the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which produces some of the best batting surfaces in the country. However, the England all-rounder only aggregated 112 runs in 10 matches at an average of 16 and a strike rate of 133.33. With the ball, he picked up two wickets.

Livingstone was released by the current champions ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction, which is set to be held at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on December 16. He is expected to be a hot pick at the auction table, especially after Glenn Maxwell announced his unavailability for the highly-anticipated event.

AI Predicts Liam Livingstone’s IPL 2026 Team and Final Bid Price

Scenarios Team Final Bid Price (INR)
1 Kolkata Knight Riders 18-22 crore
2 Chennai Super Kings 17-20 crore

According to AI, KKR are the frontrunner to acquire the services of Liam Livingstone. The three-time champions have released Andre Russell, and Livingstone could be a like-for-like replacement, as far as the batting department is concerned. However, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans could enter a bidding war and push the final bid price over INR 20 crore.

CSK is another team that could go for Livingstone. Having released all-rounders Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja in exchange for Sanju Samson, Livingstone could be the kind of player the five-time champions need. He is a formidable batter who can also bowl spin. The experienced campaigner can also play the finisher’s role, something that the team will need after letting go of Curran and Jadeja.

Apart from these two teams, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gujarat Titans, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru could try to rope in Livingstone.

When it comes to current form, Livingstone has scored one half-century from three matches so far in the ongoing ILT20 in the United Arab Emirates.
