Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) return to their home ground when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 6 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday, April 2. Both sides will be hoping to register their first win of the new season after losing their respective opening matches.

KKR played against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, 29 March, where they suffered a six-wicket defeat despite scoring 220 while batting first. MI chased down the total with relative ease thanks to a 148-run opening partnership forged by Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma.

SRH, meanwhile, played defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the opening game of the 2026 IPL season. The 2016 champions fell to a six-wicket defeat, with RCB chasing down 202 in 15.4 overs.
