Star England batter Joe Root was part of a bizarre run out during a County Championship fixture between Yorkshire and Glamorgan. As Kiran Carlson was batting on a score of 15 off 35 balls, the batter charged down the wicket and attempted to hit a full-fledged drive.

However, the ball ricocheted off the left leg of Joe Root, who was standing at silly point. The ball then rolled down to wicketkeeper Jonathan Tattersall, who was quick to shatter the stumps as Carlson was dismissed.

Carlson did attempt to dive to get back in his crease; however, the batter was too late and was dismissed in one of the most unique dismissals in cricket. The clip of the same has been going viral all over social media, as Root’s Yorkshire teammates celebrated the wicket with him.
