Star all-rounder Jason Holder will no longer play One-Day Internationals for the West Indies, confirming his retirement from the format. Head coach Daren Sammy has confirmed the development officially during a conversation with a popular media outlet. Holder continues to be a part of the Test and T20 internationals for the Caribbean side.
Holder has left the format after playing 138 matches. The bowling all-rounder has drawn curtains on his ODI career after 159 wickets at an average of 36.96. He has also captained the West Indies side in 50-over cricket, beyond being an all-format skipper as well. With the bat, he has contributed 2237 runs, which also includes twelve half-centuries at an average of 24.85 while being a lower-order batter over the years.
Speaking on Wisden, Sammy confirmed the development.
