Royal Challengers Bengaluru opener Virat Kohli showcased his vast experience during the IPL 2026 final against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31. Facing Kagiso Rabada in the fourth over, Kohli launched a stunning assault, taking the pacer apart in the first four deliveries.
The over began with Rabada straying onto Kohli’s pads, and the RCB opener used his supple wrists to flick the ball fine to the deep backward square-leg boundary for four. On the next delivery, pitched on a length just outside off stump, Kohli shuffled across and whipped it backward square on the leg side for another boundary.
Kohli then produced the shot of the over. Rabada bowled a good-length delivery outside off, but Kohli, at his imperious best, rolled his wrists and disdainfully whipped it over mid-on for a magnificent six. The carnage continued on the fourth ball when Rabada dropped short outside off. Picking the length early, Kohli swivelled into position and hammered a pull shot past square leg for yet another boundary.
