

It is always a heated affair when the Lucknow Super Giants take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. This occasion’s clash in Match 50 of the 2026 season saw Nicholas Pooran and Krunal Pandya engaged in a tense exchange in the middle.
Pooran, coming in in the tenth over of the game, was welcomed to the middle with two bouncers from Krunal Pandya. The first one was left alone, and Pooran had to play an awkward shot to get the next one away for a single. On getting to the other end, there were words exchanged between Pooran and Pandya, with the West Indies batter even getting up close to Krunal.

Meanwhile, multiple rain delays saw the game curtailed to 19 overs per side. Mitchell Marsh notched up his first century of the 2026 season, scoring a magnificent 111 off 56 balls, while Pooran scored 38 off 23 balls as Super Giants finished their innings on 209/3. Captain Rishabh Pant scored a blistering 10-ball 32 at the back end of the innings.
