The bowling department at the Gujarat Titans (GT) might be going slightly under the radar ahead of the start of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The Ahmedabad-based side have an extremely balanced side, including quality bowlers in their ranks.

GT finished third in the standings last time around where they eventually lost in the playoffs. Their success in 2025 was largely dependent on their excellence with the ball. Out of the top 10 wicket-takers in the tournament last time around, two represented GT, including the Purple Cap winner Prasidh Krishna.

With a largely similar bowling unit this time around combined with some seriously talented batter, expect GT to make a serious challenge for their second IPL title.

Here are the top three bowlers to watch out for from the GT squad:

3. Mohammed Siraj – Right arm Fast

In his debut season for GT in 2025, Mohammed Siraj took 16 wickets from 15 matches and led the fast bowling department of his side. Despite being slightly expensive, the right-arm pacer bowled with his heart out, like he displayed during India’s Test tour to England last year.

Siraj played just one game during India’s title-winning 2026 T20 World Cup campaign where he took three wickets against the United States. He also represented Hyderabad four times in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, taking seven wickets along the way at an economy rate of just 5.81.

GT fans can expect Siraj to play in majority of the matches and show sheer aggression and determination in each spell he bowls.

2. Rashid Khan – Legbreak Googly

Rashid Khan had an underwhelming 2025 IPL season based on his lofty standards. The Afghanistan superstar played 15 times but only managed to take nine wickets in the tournament at an economy rate of 9.34. Before that he took only 10 wickets back in 2024.

The spinner, however, remains one of the greatest bowlers in T20 cricket and will be determined to set the record straight this time around. Rashid comes into the 2026 IPL season on the back of a decent run in the T20 World Cup where he took six wickets from four games.

The 27-year-old took 2 for 28 against South Africa at the T20 World Cup on GT’s home ground of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

1. Prashidh Krishna – Right arm Fast medium

In his first season donning the GT colours, Prasidh Krishna went on to win the Purple Cap after taking 25 wickets from 15 matches at a strike-rate of 14.1. Out of the possible 60 overs that he could have bowled, the 30-year-old bowled 59, showing how reliable he was for skipper Shubman Gill in 2025.

It is hard to replicate the kind of season the right-arm pacer had last time around. However, with experienced bowlers around him like Siraj and Kagiso Rabada, he can once again silently excel for GT as the spotlight remains on other superstar players.
