The Delhi Capitals (DC) possess some quality bowlers in their ranks heading into the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Some of these bowlers are in excellent form coming into the showpiece tournament, which would make DC fans fill to the brim with excitement as they chase their maiden title.
DC’s bowlers went slightly unnoticed at the 2025 IPL season. They, however, did have decent seasons which eventually helped the side from the capital city come within a whisker of qualifying for the playoffs as they missed by just one point.
The Axar Patel-led side have strengthened their bowling unit in the most recent mini auction, giving them a genuine chance of breaking into the top four.
Here are the top three bowlers to watch out for from the DC squad:
3. Lungisani Ngidi – Right arm Fast medium

Lungisani Ngidi is one of the most in-form overseas bowlers to come into the 2026 IPL season. The South African was his side’s best pacer at the recently-concluded T20 World Cup, where he took 12 wickets from seven matches at an economy rate of just 7.19.
DC have made a shrewd singing when it comes to Ngidi, picking him up at the mini auction at his base price of INR 2 crore.
The 29-year-old formed part of the RCB side which won the IPL title in 2025. The pacer, however, played only two games for the eventual champions, taking four wickets along the way.
2. Kuldeep Yadav – Left arm Wrist spin

Kuldeep Yadav formed part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad. The left-arm spinner, however, played just one game, against Pakistan where he took one wicket. The 31-year-old, however, will be expected to play the role of lead spinner for DC along with skipper Axar Patel.
Kuldeep took 15 wickets from 14 matches to finish the 2025 IPL season as his side’s leading wicket-taker whilst bowling at a tidy economy rate of just 7.07.
The spinner comes into the 2026 edition of the tournament with huge expectations and will also be playing to win back his place as India’s lead spinner in T20I, particularly after Varun Chakravarthy’s disappointing end to the T20 World Cup.
1. Mitchell Starc – Left arm Fast

After winning the IPL with KKR in 2024, Mitchell Starc joined the DC setup in 2025 for INR 11.75 crore. The left-arm pacer ended his debut season in the capital with 14 wickets to his name.
While being on the more expensive end, Starc will always be a threat with the new ball due to his ability to swing the ball. He secured his maiden five-wicket haul in T20 cricket last season when he took 5 for 35 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which included three wickets in the opening spell.
